Concentrate Speaker Event: The Ann Arbor Exit Interview

Why do people move away? The obvious answer is: opportunity. Many assume that better job options incite talent to relocate. But studies and trends show that the answers are usually more complicated than simply the chance for higher paying work. Family, social amenities, livability, environment, education, culture, density of peers and even public transportation can play an important role in why someone chooses to move to or from a place.

For the last few years local blogger Mark Maynard has been running an occasional interview series called "The Exit Interview". In it, Mark has a conversation with an Ann Arbor or Ypsilanti local who has chosen to become an ex-local.

Concentrate has asked Mark to moderate a panel of folks who have chosen, for a variety of reasons, to leave Ann Arbor, either personally or professionally. We want to use March's Speaker Series Event as an opportunity to conduct a live exit interview with these people, learn what they'll miss about Ann Arbor, what they'll be glad to leave behind, what opportunities they had here and what opportunities were lacking.

Join us THURSDAY, MARCH 28 at Conor O'Neill's from 5-7pm for what we hope will be a fascinating conversation about our community. And feel free to offer questions of your own in the SIGN UP BELOW.
