Urp! Excuse me. Just stuffed myself silly with pad thai and curry puffs. If you've lived on either of the coasts it won't take you long to figure out that restaurants of the asian persuasion in Ypsi and A2 are pretty, well, mediocre. Tuptim ain't perfect but it wouldn't be an unwelcome addition in Seattle or SF. The standard Thai dishes are done well, with a robust use of ginger and lemongrass. The curry has its ups and downs (green is better than yellow) but most of the dishes are flavorful and fresh. The mango sweet rice dessert earns a special yums up. Yeah, the former Long John Silver's architecture is off-putting (really guys, would a couple coats of paint and some landscaping kill ya?) and the entrees are a bit on the stingy side, but for $25 you can fill your tummy with everything from tofu to Tom Kha.
