Description:
We are seeking a scientist to join our R&D Department and be a part of the formulation development team. Individual will be responsible for providing analytical and formulation insight and support for nanoemulsion programs. This role requires 80% hands-on laboratory work and 20% data analysis skills. Key responsibilities include: •Physical/chemical characterization of prototype emulsions. •Formulation development activities (lab scale) for in vitro and in vivo research. •Method and Specification development. •Preformulation analytical support. •Prepare testing documentation or progress reports on projects and recommend future actions •Report writing and presentations. •Provide leadership and expertise in troubleshooting of analytical methods and instrumentation.

Requirements:
Requirements: •Ph.D., or M.S., level candidate with at least 4 years of analytical laboratory and formulation R&D biotech experience in biological or chemical science; preferably analytical chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering. •Must have analytical formulation development pharmaceutical industry experience in emulsions and liquid/sterile dosage forms. •Ability to perform HPLC and GPC analyses, Particle Size analysis and Microscopy (TEM/SEM). •Working knowledge of pre-formulation and formulation development with experience characterizing the formulation of novel controlled release/drug delivery technologies, particularly technologies at the micron or nanomaterial scale. •Working knowledge and understanding of cGMP requirements. •Must have strong problem-solving skills and work ethic, and the ability to work independently. •Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others in a dynamic and highly collaborative fast paced environment. •Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft programs including (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
