Working women, unite! That's sort of the theme for this year's Women's Exchange of Washtenaw where women growing their own businesses will gather today to trade stories, business tips and network.

Called the Women's Exchange of Washtenaw, the May 7 event will address issues like managing business growth and breathing new energy into established companies. With an extended happy hour afterward, the organizers hope to create a networking atmosphere that caters to local business women.

 

"Women often have unique challenges in balancing hectic work and personal life schedules - but many are also guarded about talking about it," said Debra Power, owner of Power Marketing and also a lead organizer of the event. "You share the 'war stories' and you don't feel so alone."
