Q LTD uses international work to create positions in Ann Arbor

Go west young company, or to the Far East and Europe in the case of Q LTD. That's where the Ann Arbor-based company sees its best chances for growth in the near future as it gears up to expand business.

The 12-person firm handles branding strategies and implementation for companies and already does a good bit of business overseas in both Europe and Asia. It recently unveiled brand and creative identity work it did for SIGGRAPH Asia 2008, a conference and exhibition on computer graphics and interactive techniques in Asia. The firm plans to diversify its client base to include more work from those geographic areas.

"We think there will be more growth there in the next 3-5 years than in the U.S.," says Tom Rieke, president of Q LTD.

That growth abroad could translate to a few jobs back home. Rieke believes the company could easily add another job or two as it expands into new markets.

"We have some good prospects," Rieke says.
